Job Description A leading specialist insurance and reinsurance company seeks an experienced Treasury Manager. Reporting directly to the Group Treasurer and supervising the Treasury Assistant Accountant the job holder will be responsible for managing all investment accounting, reporting and operational requirements for Syndicate and Corporate entities, the Implementation of investment decisions made by the Investment Committee, supporting the Group Treasurer in development of the Treasury framework for both Syndicate and Corporate entities including the integration of operational activities into a single functional team, maintenance and enhancement of all Treasury and investment systems, processes and controls including documentation of policies and procedures, liquidity management to ensure optimisation of working capital and invested assets, currency risk management and the development of monitoring and reporting tools e.g. KPI’s and KRI’s, of all Treasury and Investment related activities for performance measurement and efficient control purposes.
Applicants will ideally be qualified accountants or hold an equivalent professional qualification e.g. ACT, have a good understanding of investment accounting and regulatory reporting requirements, a broad understanding of investment activities and the impact on financial statements and a superior knowledge of excel.
Knowledge of Great Plains accounting package would be desirable and applicants will have ideally worked within a FSA regulated environment.
