Oracle Portal Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, integration, testing, deployment and support of Portal-based solutions. Responsibilities will include providing technical leadership and hands-on capabilities in Oracle Portal technology. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, be able to work independently or with a team and have a track record of successful application deployment.

The ideal individual will have 2 years of web based J2EE application development experience

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

 

• Must have 3+ years of portal experience preferable Oracle Portal
• Must have Content Management (any tool): Portlet development skills (java or PLSQL), PL/SQL, WebDAV; LDAP or OID or Active Directory;
• Must be able to define and develop enterprise content based taxonomies
• Knowledge of administering collaborative solutions software such as Oracle Collaboration suite or Lotus quickplace
• Java/JSP and HTML development experience
• SQL, PL/SQL a strong plus
• Experience with other middleware technology, experience, including: Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture
• Knowledge of working with Business Intelligence software including: report development, dashboard creation/executive dashboards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to translate end user requirements into reports.
• Demonstrated experience writing detailed Technical Specs from Business Requirements documents.
• Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with Developers, Business Analysts and Business Units while leading portal development projects.
• Other needed skills include: experience conducting design meetings, code reviews and mentoring developers.
• Must have excellent organizational and project management skills and be flexible to changing priorities.
  
  

PREFERRED SKILLS:

 

• Ideal candidate will have an outgoing, consultative personality and be able to interface at all levels of the organization.
• Prefer an Oracle development background with Oracle database development (PL/SQL), Oracle Forms/Reports. Basic UNIX skills a plus but not required

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oracle Portal Technical Developer
• Resource will be working on the technical development for applications built to Oracle framework
• Integrate applications built to Oracle framework into Oracle apps
• Provide integration documentation support to facilitate cross training within the team
